Denise Smith - Director of Plant Product

Smith is familiar to gardeners in the Southeast as an author and speaker, thanks to articles in publications such as Southeastern Floriculture and presentations at flower shows, trade shows, and symposia. Her company, GardenSmith Greenhouse & Nursery, was featured in a variety of publications, including Southern Living magazine, HGTV’s “A Gardener’s Diary,” and Walter Reeves’s PBS program, “Georgia Gardener.

In addition to being an award-winning horticulturist, Smith also devotes considerable time and energy to professional and community leadership activities. For example, she is a co-founder of the Susquehanna Unit of the Herb Society of America and has served on the Board of Directors for a long list of state, local, industry, and charitable organizations.

Smith joins the team based in the company’s Greenwood, SC headquarters, and will primarily be responsible for Park Seed’s spring and fall plant catalogs. “I’m looking forward to new challenges,” stated Smith. “It will be great to connect with gardeners across the U.S.
