BULB KEEPING - QUESTION & ANSWER |
|
QUESTION: Can you take bulbs out when flowers are over and keep the bulbs for the following year? ANSWER: Yes, you can store bulbs after they have finished, but only after the leaves have died down. The leaves feed the bulb for the coming year. If you take away the leaves or dig the bulbs too soon, before the leaves ripen, you won't get flowers next year.
